So, none of the student can get 718 or 719. But this year many students got 718-719 marks in NEET UG exam. NTA responded with c clarification that extra marks are awarded for those who lost time due to technical problem during exam and they applied normalization formula for them.
The education ministry has appointed a four-member panel to examine the grace marks of more than 1,500 applicants who received them as compensation for the time they lost while taking the NEET UG 2024, the NTA reported on June 8. Officials said that the changes were made to rectify the discrepancies in the NCERT textbooks, which is why 44 students received full marks while others saw an improvement in their results. Even if the medical exam has turned into a political controversy, the officials insist that most of the allegations are an attempt to fabricate a story about the exam.
